Step 1: First Playthrough (~20 Hours)
Play the story on Story or Normal while learning Just Guard and Bloom Arts. Collect shrines, campsites, documents, and Keeper Golem conversations as you go. You can finish almost every collectible on run one, but you will not reach 30 Keeper Golem talks in a single playthrough, and some Blade Art / skill trophies gate behind New Game Plus unlocks.
After the ending, your cleared save can free-roam. Clean leftover collectibles before starting NG+. Death does not delete progress currency the way classic soulslikes do, so exploration-focused cleanup is low stress—use Walkthrough and Items as checklists.
Step 2: New Game Plus / Reincarnation+ (~10 Hours)
Start NG+ from the cleared save. The forced Reincarnation+ difficulty lands near Normal intensity. Progress such as levels, gear, Spirit Stones, and recipes carries forward per launch guides—use the second run to finish Keeper Golem counts, pick up NG+-gated blades or skills, and secure the Reincarnated trophy required for Platinum.
Because difficulty does not gate trophies, you can keep Story habits on the first run and still earn everything.
Step 3: Level, Skills, and Weapon Cleanup
After two clears many players sit around level 60–70. A common late grind uses a high-XP beast spawn in the Crater region: defeat, rest at camp, repeat toward level 100 for skill-point trophies. Emma and Koo trees split into roots and canopy sections; several trophies ask for full Blade Art / Bloom Art upgrades or root completion. Save before spending SP, pop one trophy, reload, and spend differently to avoid grinding duplicate levels.
Weapon upgrades that cost currency can use the same save-scum approach once you can afford a full upgrade pass: buy, unlock trophy, reload if you need the Amber back for another checklist item.
